COMPANY INFO

Custom Seafood Processors, Inc. (dba Custom Seafoods) began in 1994 as a small family owned business with a mission to process, package, and freeze sport-caught fish, primarily for visiting tourists. The company incorporated and moved to a new leased location in 1996.

In 2006 Custom Seafoods designed and moved into a new 12,000 sq.ft. facility on the Kenai Spur Hwy in Soldotna, Alaska. The modern, state-of-the art building allows Custom Seafoods to stay open longer and handle more capacity. Smoking and processing is done on-site on a small-batch scale, ensuring the highest quality, and allows Custom Seafoods to get product quicker and fresher to the lower 48 states.

During the summer season, when Custom Seafoods process thousands of pounds of fish from the Kenai River Cook inlet, staffing at the plant swells to approximately 75 employees, many of them having begun their careers at Custom Seafoods at the age of 16. Custom Seafoods is proud to have employed individuals from across the United States, and from even as far away as the Netherlands.

Custom Seafoods’ commitment to the local community is reflected in their support of many organizations, including the Kenai Watershed Forum, the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank, the Kenai River Sportfishing Association, the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce, and many local youth sports teams. Custom Seafoods is also proud to support our local fishermen, in addition to serving the thousands of tourists that descend on the area every summer.
